Six Word Friday: CROSS

The Spellings and Stitching of Crosses

When a Cross stitches a cross
It is now a Cross’s cross.
If two Crosses stitch one cross
It is now The Crosses’ cross.
When two Crosses stitch more crosses
Now they are The Crosses’ crosses.
If two Crosses have a spat…
Cross Crosses! And that is that.

No worries as they make up
And stitch happily Cross forever.

  1. I had to giggle at what Miriam said 🙂 I have never done cross stitching. I think it’s beautiful and admire those that do it. Have a lovely weekend, my friend!

  2. This reminds me to get some beginner cross stitch kits for my girls for Christmas…maybe they’ll enjoy this craft as much as I did when I was their age!

  3. Oh how delightful wordplay … I was twisting my tongue trying to repeat it!
Cross stitching is relaxing (if one does it in my level – very simple 🙂 – I have one hanging on our hall way – a sweet and old one, from 1963 (as my husband was born).
Wishing you a great week ahead, Maureen!

  4. very fun word play. And, yes my favourite craft once too. I hope the polar vortex was kind, we have continued to be mild, but the frost is on it’s way this week, and I shall start getting cross when I have to argue with my son to get him to wear his coat for school. Have a good week.
