The place I called home for forty-two years, the Jersey Shore, has been all but washed away -first by Superstorm Sandy, and then by a Nor’easter a week later. This picture of a beautiful yet destructive wave was taken two days ago by Asbury Park Press photographer, Mary Frank, as it thundered ashore in Long Branch, NJ.

So sorry, it is such a disaster, with so many people homeless. Thoughts and prayers go out to everyone. Mother nature is fierce but mankind is resilient. xx
